What does it mean to "actively seek work"?
You must apply for jobs that match your education, experience, and work capacity – but also be open to other types of work. The plan established by Arbetsförmedlingen for you will indicate the minimum number of jobs you need to apply for each month. In addition, you must show that you are making various efforts to obtain employment.
Here are some examples of what counts as actively seeking work:
Apply for jobs within your professional field and other areas where you are able to work.
Upload or update your profile and CV on job websites.
Participate in job fairs, interviews, or meetings that may lead to employment.
Follow up on your job applications.
Contact employers directly to express interest in working there.
Common mistakes to avoid
Not submitting the activity report on time (no later than the 14th of each month). I
t is important to submit it – not just fill it in.
Only applying for a small number of jobs.
Limiting oneself to only one type of job.
Declining offers or activities from Arbetsförmedlingen without acceptable reasons

Save copies of your applications or note down dates and contact persons.
