Report every month
Log in to Arbetsförmedlingen’s website at the beginning of each month and report the previous month’s job-seeking activities. The activity report must be submitted to Arbetsförmedlingen no later than the 14th of each month.
Check that the report has been submitted
If the report is not submitted on time, you may lose compensation. Make sure to click all the way through to the confirmation page. It may feel like many clicks, and you can check in My Pages on Arbetsförmedlingen that the report has been submitted.
What does actively seeking work mean?
To be considered a job seeker, you must apply for available jobs, contact potential employers, and do what you can to find new employment. Specifically, this means you should:
Cooperate with your employment officer to develop a job search plan.
Follow the plan you have with Arbetsförmedlingen.
Submit your activity report on time, no later than the 14th of each month.
Stay in contact with Arbetsförmedlingen in the ways and at the times they have specified.
Apply for the jobs assigned to you by Arbetsförmedlingen.
Apply for jobs on your own initiative.
These steps are necessary to maintain your right to compensation.
Why must you submit an activity report?
The activity report is primarily a check on your job-seeking efforts. It also enables Arbetsförmedlingen to provide better support when they know which jobs you have applied for and what else you have done to find new employment. This is important for maintaining your right to compensation.
What happens if you miss the report
If you fail to submit your activity report on time, Arbetsförmedlingen will send a message to us at the unemployment fund. We will always contact you and ask for the reason if this happens. The consequence depends on how many notifications about your job-seeking efforts Arbetsförmedlingen has sent.
1st time: You receive a warning. Compensation is not affected.
2nd time: Suspension from compensation for 1 day.
3rd time: Suspension from compensation for 5 days.
4th time: Suspension from compensation for 10 days.
5th time: You lose the right to compensation until you meet a new work requirement.
If you have missed submitting the activity report on time, you must explain the reasons. There are circumstances that may exempt you from consequences, such as being seriously ill and unable to submit the report, or if Arbetsförmedlingen’s system was not functioning properly and prevented submission.
