How long it takes

We want our members to receive their decisions and their money as quickly as possible when they become unemployed. The waiting time for a decision on whether the conditions for compensation are met should be short; we strive for no longer than 2 weeks.

Payment of compensation

Compensation is paid monthly in arrears. For us to be able to pay out the money in the same month the application is received, your monthly application must reach us no later than the 14th of each month.

Example: If you apply for compensation for October, you can submit your monthly application in November. Payment is normally made on the fourth Thursday of the month.

Important to know

In the first month of compensation, a qualifying deduction equivalent to two compensation days is made.
Compensation is reduced by any income from work and for time when you have not been available for work.
Tax is deducted according to column 5 in Skatteverkets tax table.
