We have compiled all the conditions, rules, and what you need to do to receive compensation from the unemployment fund so that you can easily find what you need. Whether you are applying for compensation, filling in your monthly application, or want to understand what affects your payment – here you will find the answers.

Three conditions for everyone

  1. Basic condition – You must be registered with Arbetsförmedlingen and actively seeking and able to take work in Sweden.

  2. Income requirement – The income requirement is met if you have had certain gross incomes during the qualification period. You must have earned at least SEK 11,000 in 4 of the months and had a total income of at least SEK 120,000. The qualification period can be extended if, for example, you have been on parental leave, completed full-time studies, or been ill.

  3. Membership – You must be a member of an unemployment fund.
