Employer certificate

Easily request your employer certificate in 'Mina sidor'. With the e-service, the request is sent directly to the employer, and the certificate can be signed with BankID. We need employer certificates for the past twelve months you have worked – this is the basis for processing your application for benefits."

Request the employer certificate in 'Mina sidor'

  1. Request your employer certificate in 'Mina sidor' under E-services. When you enter which employer and which period you need the certificate for, the request is sent directly to the employer. Usually, it is the payroll administrator who fills it in.

  2. If the employer signs it with BankID, it will be submitted to 'Mina sidor'.

  3. Under the tab 'New employer certificates', you then approve the certificate.

  4. We will process your case.

At least 12 months must be reported

We need employer certificates for the past twelve months you have worked. If you have not worked for 12 months, we need certificates for all the months you have worked. If, during any month, you worked less than 60 hours due to illness, full-time studies, or parental leave, the employer must report one additional month further back in time.

Earliest on the last working day

The employer certificate can only be filled in once the employment has ended, as the last working day must be included in the certificate.

Working hours, income, and absences

The employer certificate includes all the important information we need about the employment. Everything from why it ended to salary and how much you worked. It also shows if you were sick, on parental leave, or worked extra. Therefore, the employer certificate cannot be replaced by an employment contract or a certificate of service.

Employer refuses to fill it in?

The employer is legally obligated to complete the employer certificate. If you need help obtaining your certificate, you can ask your union for assistance. We can also help if needed.

The employer certificate is visible under 'My documents'

As soon as the employer has submitted the certificate, you will receive a notification and can view it under 'My documents' in 'Mina sidor'. Your case officer will also be notified so your case can be processed quickly.
